Important Dates:
- Early, over-the-counter voting has begun at the County Office Building (542 Forbes Avenue) from 8:30AM – 4:30PM.
- Last day to register to vote: May 1, 2023
- Last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot: May 9, 2023
Polls are open on election day (May 16) from 7AM – 8PM.
May 16, 2023 is the Municipal Primary.
This May, the partisan primary election for several State and Allegheny County-wide offices will be taking place. Namely, the State and County-wide offices on the ballot are:
Statewide:
- PA Supreme Court
- PA Superior Court
- PA Commonwealth Court
Countywide
- Court of Common Pleas
- County Executive
- County Treasurer
- District Attorney
- County Controller
- County Council, At-Large
- County Council (depending on where you live)
Local:
- Depending on your municipality (i.e. City of Pittsburgh or a surrounding borough, township, etc.), you may see School Board and Borough/Township Council races on your ballot
