Tech U

Tech U is a group of youth programs at the Urban League that focus on academic improvement, enhancing aspirations and developing career goals through technology.  At Tech U, African American youth engage in computer programming, social media and other creative uses of technology.  If you have a creative interest in technology, Tech U is a great place to start.  The programs help underrepresented students participate and contribute to the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) fields.  Many African American youth do not know their career options in STEM fields and believe the subject is beyond their reach.  Tech U programs are designed to address the divide that exists for African American youth by increasing participation in STEM activities, particularly computer programming and technology.
