Join Us for the State of Black Pittsburgh 2024!

Theme: Housing Stability, Electoral Impact

This year’s State of Black Pittsburgh’s theme “Housing Stability, Electoral Impact” will highlight the work being done in the region to address the critical need for quality and affordable housing and the significance of electoral participation by Black people, and its in shaping our future. The Housing Stability discussion will dive deep into the need for more quality affordable housing, featuring four expert and hands-on panelists from our community. The Electoral Impact discussion will feature another set of four panelists who understand the importance of the Black vote and will share some strategies to increase turnout. Following these discussions, two interactive breakout sessions, one for each topic, will give attendees the unique opportunity to engage directly with the panelists, pose questions, and collaborate on innovative, actionable solutions.

This talk will inform our efforts to Create a State of Black Pittsburgh Report and Black Policy Agenda.

Join us on Thursday, June 27th as we discuss topics regarding housing and voting within Allegheny County. Doors open and breakfast is served beginning at 8a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh Teplitz Moot Courtroom in the Barco Law Building.
