Focus: Our May 2021 health page will focus on postpartum health and wellness, and as it intersects with COVID-19 – including challenges, assets; racial and ethnic disparities, available resources, engagement opportunities, and action steps for folks to take charge of their own health.
We hope to see many of you this Thursday for the Lunch and Learn on the connection between the postpartum period and mental health.
Join us on May 13th for the lunch hour discussion with Dr. Marquis Hawkins, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh, and Kristen Allen, PhD Candidate in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.
The duo will walk us through, and engage in, discussion around this health topic including data from Dr. Hawkins’ SLEPT Study, and Dr. Tamar Krishnamurti and Kristen Allen’s work with the Language Use and Mental Health During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period study.
Actionable steps will be a highlight during the noon to 1 p.m. session. As always, the space will be one of dialogue, resources and the dissemination of health education that is relevant. Please follow the link below to secure your spot for this virtual event!
